iAccelerator

Introduction

Imbuto Foundation in partnership with UNFPA, the Ministry of Youth & Arts and Friends of Imbuto, are launching the Innovation Accelerator (iAccelerator) phase 6. iAccelerator was developed as a mentorship driven programme, supporting young entrepreneurs with seed funding, training and skills development to generate original and ground breaking responses to challenges related to sexual and reproductive health, family planning and other population development related issues.

 

The Programme

The iAccelerator will start with a countrywide selection of sustainable and scalable youth-friendly SRH & Mental Health projects. The top 6 projects will win a grant, as well as access to 6 months of training & mentorship.

Seed funding: RWF 10,000,000
Focus market: Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) and Mental Health
Challenges:

  • Improving young people’s access to sexual and reproductive health services, including HIV prevention and menstrual health. “Kunoza imitangire ya serivisi n’amakuru y’ukuri ku buzima bw’imyororokere ku rubyiruko, hibandwa ku gukumira ubwandu bwa Virusi itera Sida, ndetse n’amakuru na serivisi bijyanye n’ukwezi k’umugore.”
  • Promoting mental health awareness and knowledge to help build inclusive, barrier-free communities. “Kongerera urubyiruko ubumenyi ku buzima bwo mu mutwe no gushaka ibisubizo birambye mu gukumira akato gahabwa abafite uburwayi bwo mu mutwe.”.

Dates

The applications will be open from 15 April 2024 and close on 15 May 2024 at 11:59pm.

Eligibility

  1. Male & female youth that are passionate in creating solutions towards availability of information and services related to sexual reproductive health and mental health in their communities.
  2. All Rwandan Nationals and Residents of Rwanda.
  3. Aged 18 to 30 years old.
